Frontline Ventures and angel investors backed the latest financing round.
"We are very happy to extend our funding to Appital ahead of its launch. Appital has a proven track record in securing partnerships with major EMS providers, executing brokers and a trading venue to address the lack of efficiency and control over existing bookbuilding and deal distribution processes. Their traction with global asset management firms is clear evidence of the need for their innovative solution for equity markets. We are delighted to back Appital’s vision."
Draper Associates led the seed round to support the launch of new institutional crypto funds.
"It’s humbling to be supported by investors who understand institutional fund management at the highest level and are backing us to deliver in crypto. Over the last 27 years I have managed money for many of the largest and most demanding institutional clients in the world. We intend to bring those lessons and disciplines, and align them with new technology and talent,"
Bank of America, BNY Mellon and Citi provided the latest strategic investment to support the low-code platform.
"This strategic support from Bank of America, BNY Mellon and Citi demonstrates their confidence in low-code as an accelerator for the next wave of IT innovation,"
Amplo led the seed round as the cross-border money transfer provider opened its platform to all UK users.
"The previous generation of challengers like Revolut and Wise disrupted the banks, bringing better technology and lower fees. But they have since lost focus and abandoned the very product that made them great in a quest to build the next ‘super app’. We are disassembling this approach by being laser-focused on doing one thing better than anyone else – getting people’s money from one currency and country to another, as efficiently as possible. We are grateful to our current and new investors for their continued support and excited to provide our UK customers with a best-in-class customer experience and unmatched cost savings."
The London investment platform secured backing from Lightspeed Venture Partners, Virgin Group, and Richard Branson to fund its European expansion.
"Having lived and worked on both sides of the pond, I’ve seen first-hand the pain points for Europeans trying to access the financial markets as easily as their counterparts in the US. Lightyear is trying to fix this with a platform that customers not only love and trust, but one that understands the nuances between different regulations, languages, exchanges and cultural investing norms. There is no single neobroker offering products across the continent right now, and the potential is enormous. Martin and Mihkel have assembled an all-star team to achieve this goal, and we couldn’t be more excited to support them all on this journey."
