The Manchester based retail delivery platform has raised £15m from Praetura Ventures and NVM Private Equity to scale its product roadmap and expand its workforce.
Pentech Ventures led the round with participation from Stanford Angels of the UK, Ascension Ventures and Charlie Songhurst.
"Our goal is to accelerate product development, from race cars to spaceships and everything in between. We believe that traditional engineering will soon change dramatically. Our dream is to work alongside engineers to enable them to bring exponential growth to product development. We are building the world’s first AI Platform for Engineers – we like to describe it as the J.A.R.V.I.S. in Iron Man."
Salic led the £7m funding round, valuing the British agritech company at £30m.
"As a machine learning business, our technology thrives on having more data to work with. Gaining access to Salic's portfolio gives us an unprecedented opportunity to hone our capabilities even further."
The investment package from Frontier Development Capital will support expansion and recruitment at the virtual reality specialist.
"For a VR company we are unusual, because we are already profitable and already selling to many of the world's biggest brands. The one thing that has held us back is that we haven't had enough investment to expand as quickly as we would have liked. Frontier Development Capital's involvement now enables us to accelerate our growth."
