The Liverpool-based stem cell specialist raised the funds from founders, angels, and Spark Impact to scale manufacturing and run clinical trials.
"I am delighted to have secured our initial investment which will leverage our TSB grant. The investment will allow us to formally demonstrate our world-leading technology platform in a scientifically and clinically rigorous way, moving it further towards commercial reality. Sincere thanks to all of our investors for their support."
The rewards-based crowdfunding platform secured its target in just over three hours with backing from over 200 investors.
"It’s been an awesome day – a massive endorsement of what we’ve been doing at Crowdfunder – and the sheer power of crowdfunding as a way to raise investment. I’d like to thank all of those who have backed our great idea – and our desire to turn more ideas into reality."
The angel round was anchored by London Business Angels and an LBA syndicate.
"We’re delighted with the calibre of angels we have recruited to join the team. Bringing with them sector, founder and exit experiences to help us move faster. The next few months offer us opportunities to grow our profile, launch product and extend our understanding of the market. So the team are very excited to be at the vanguard of context sensing and look forward to solving real world business problems while generating new insight in the movement of people and goods."
Anvil Partners led the SEIS round and advised on the EIS raise, which closed a month early.
"We are very pleased with the response to the fund raising proposal and we can now focus our attention on launching Complete Mathematics at the British Congress of Mathematics Education on 14-17 April, the largest mathematics education conference in the UK which takes place every four years."
