Zen Educate secures £19.3m Series A extension co-led by Brighteye Ventures and Adjuvo

The oversubscribed round will fund international expansion, team growth, and acquisitions.

Zen Educate operates an online marketplace that matches schools with supply teachers and teaching assistants. The platform reduces recruitment expenses and streamlines administrative workflows for educational institutions.

Zen Educate has secured £19.3m in a Series A extension round co-led by Brighteye Ventures and Adjuvo. The oversubscribed round also drew participation from Ascension Ventures, several family offices, and prominent angel investors including the founders of Octopus Group. The fresh capital will be deployed to expand into new UK cities, grow the US footprint, double the team headcount, and pursue acquisitions.

The company has built an ethical alternative to traditional recruitment agencies, saving the UK education system millions of pounds in agency fees. With rapid year-on-year growth, Zen Educate continues to scale its vetting and booking platform for schools and educators on both sides of the Atlantic.
