ZappedSkin, a London-based teledermatology platform, has secured £220k in financing from Jenson Funding Partners to expand its treatment offerings and technology. The capital will be allocated towards hiring, marketing, and developing the application to cover a broader range of skin conditions.
Founded in 2020, the company connects acne sufferers with UK-trained dermatologists through video and text consultations, bypassing traditional NHS wait times. Medications and tests are delivered directly to patients without requiring GP referrals.
The fresh capital will support the startup as it transitions towards offering personalised topical skincare, prescription medications, and subscription-based aftercare maintenance packages.

"Without the ability to quickly and easily see a dermatologist, patients often go for months or even years without receiving proper treatment for acne, which can have a huge impact on emotional and mental health as well as the risk of causing permanent scarring. Typically, their treatment journey begins with online research, with resources varying in reliability, before trialling over-the-counter skincare products, which are not sufficient in a lot of cases,"
