London fintech Yaspa has secured £9m in a funding round led by Discerning Capital, with participation from Metavallon and TechStars Ventures. The capital will be deployed to support the company as it expands its operations into the United States.
Founded in 2017, Yaspa offers real-time payments and customer verification services tailored for regulated industries such as online gambling. The fresh funding follows the firm's recent incorporation of a US entity in Atlanta, Georgia, positioning it to capitalise on the growing American open banking sector.
Lead investor Discerning Capital focuses on businesses operating at the intersection of wagering, media, and technology. The investment aims to help Yaspa scale its account-to-account payment solutions to international operators seeking enhanced player protection and reduced chargeback rates.
