WorldRemit has secured £138.6m in a Series D funding round led by TCV, Accel and Leapfrog Investments. The capital injection will support the expansion of the digital remittance platform and facilitate the introduction of financial solutions aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises.
Founded in 2010, the London-headquartered firm provides mobile and online payment services designed to connect expatriates and migrant workers with recipients globally. The transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions, including approval from the Financial Conduct Authority.
