The funding will drive a new headquarters in New York City and a 25-person recruitment drive.
Willo Technologies operates a recruitment technology platform that facilitates video interviews for organisations across more than 180 countries. The business provides tools to streamline hiring processes for various global enterprises and public institutions.
Willo Technologies has secured £1.5m in a funding round led by 1818 Venture Capital. The company will use the capital to support its expansion in the United States, which already accounts for over 65 percent of its revenue.
As part of the growth strategy, the firm plans to open a new headquarters in New York City and execute a global recruitment drive to add 25 new staff members. Additional backers in the round include Alan Kenny, Julien Nurse, and Mark Danby.
The business currently operates in more than 180 countries and serves clients such as Coinbase and Chick-fil-A. It aims to accelerate its international presence amid rising demand for asynchronous hiring tools.
From the founder

Investor perspective
"For obvious reasons, the adoption of both asynchronous and distributed working and hiring practices has accelerated over the last few years. That said, we are still early in the adoption curve for many novel solutions and most businesses are yet to adapt and reap the benefits of these new approaches."
