Wilder Sensing has secured £700k in a funding round to expand its biodiversity monitoring platform and create new jobs. The investment includes £300k from the South West Investment Fund, managed by The FSE Group, alongside participation from Oxford Innovation Finance, Syndicate Rooms and Cambridge Angels.

The capital will enable the company to generate 15 new jobs and enhance its software capabilities for ecological data collection. Wilder Sensing serves customers such as the Somerset Wildlife Trust, ecological consultancies, farming businesses and media projects.

The firm provides technology designed to meet the growing need for accurate environmental monitoring as businesses and public bodies place greater emphasis on sustainability and nature recovery.
