Weezy secures £1m in pre-seed funding led by Heartcore Capital to launch its grocery delivery service.
Heartcore Capital led the pre-seed round, which included backing from various industry executives and angels.
Weezy operates a superfast supermarket service that delivers groceries and essentials to customers in fifteen minutes. The company sources produce from wholesalers and independent local merchants.
Weezy has raised £1m in pre-seed funding to support its initial launch and future expansion plans. The round was led by Heartcore Capital, with backing from a group of angel investors and former executives from companies such as Ocado and Deliveroo.
The capital arrives as the company initiates operations with its first fulfilment centre in London. Weezy intends to use the proceeds to scale its presence across the capital before pursuing a wider UK rollout.

Those signups are more than doubling week on week. In the current climate it has become less viable, and even less appealing, for consumers to visit stores."
