Vouchsafe raises £1m in pre-seed funding led by Bethnal Green Ventures to expand its identity verification platform.
The oversubscribed round was led by Bethnal Green Ventures with participation from a group of specialist investors and angels.
Vouchsafe operates a next-generation identity verification platform designed to address global identification poverty. The system enables organisations to onboard users safely without depending exclusively on traditional photo identification.
Vouchsafe has secured £1m in an oversubscribed pre-seed funding round led by Bethnal Green Ventures. Additional backing came from Biometric Ventures, Fuel Ventures, Seed X Liechtenstein, and angel investor Andrew Chevis.
The capital will support the company as it expands its technology footprint and addresses digital and financial exclusion. Vouchsafe provides verification services that accept alternative evidence and trusted references to assist individuals lacking standard identification documents.
