Volter secures £2.5m in pre-seed funding from Transition to expand product offerings and enter new markets.
The pre-seed round was led by Transition with backing from Seedcamp and Neptunia.
Volter provides an operating system designed for commercial and industrial rooftop solar installations. The platform helps property owners and managers manage portfolios and optimise energy assets.
Volter has secured £2.5m in pre-seed funding to build out its product offerings, expand its customer base, and launch operations in a new European market. The round was led by Transition, with participation from Seedcamp, Neptunia, and several angel investors. The company provides software that enables real estate owners and solar installers to deploy and manage rooftop solar portfolios efficiently.
The funding arrives as the European solar sector experiences sustained growth, though software solutions have historically lagged behind hardware deployment. Volter addresses this gap by offering automated billing, performance monitoring, and reporting tools. The fresh capital will support the firm as it expands its team and prepares for broader energy service offerings, including battery integration and virtual power plants.
