Cardiff based virtual reality start-up Virtus Tech has secured £300k in a pre-seed funding round led by SFC Capital. The company was also backed by angel investors including Mark West and Lord Mervyn Davies. The new capital will support international expansion, team growth, and ongoing research and development in immersive technology.
The company has experienced rapid growth over the past year, aided by mentorship from Google for Startups through Tramshed Tech's Startup Academy. Virtus Tech recently launched the Wales Virtual Hospital in partnership with NHS Wales, creating a centralised virtual reality training platform for medical professionals across health boards and universities.
