Virtue raises a pre-seed round from SFC Capital to expand its social impact e-commerce platform.
The pre-seed round was led by SFC Capital and included participation in the Techstars accelerator.
Virtue provides a social impact application for retailers on Shopify, enabling stores to partner with causes and contribute a portion of product sales to environmental and social initiatives.
Social impact application Virtue has secured a pre-seed investment from SFC Capital alongside participation in the Techstars accelerator. The company, which launched on Shopify a year prior, provides technology that enables online merchants to support environmental and social causes through product sales.
SFC Capital led the pre-seed round, highlighting the growing importance of ethical consumerism for modern retailers. Virtue plans to use the fresh capital and accelerator backing to scale its operations internationally and integrate with additional e-commerce platforms beyond Shopify.
The platform currently serves hundreds of stores in the UK, helping brands engage shoppers with transparent updates on charitable contributions such as carbon offsetting and community support.
