London safety tech provider VerifyMy has raised £5m in a fundraising round backed by angel investors including Booking.com founder Marijn Muyser. The capital will be deployed to expand the team and accelerate product development amid increasing global regulation of online safety and content moderation.
Founded four years ago, the company offers age verification and content moderation solutions used by major brands such as eBay and Toolstation. Alongside the funding, the firm has appointed former Otovo and Threads executive Michal Karnibad as co-CEO alongside founder Ryan Shaw to steer its next phase of growth.
