Unum Aircraft Seating manufactures sustainable and lightweight business class seats designed to reduce airline fuel consumption and emissions.

UK startup Unum Aircraft Seating has secured £3.5m in funding from ACF Investors to support its ongoing business growth and manufacturing development. The capital will enable the company to expand its team and advance research into new production processes for its lightweight aircraft seating.

The investment arrives as the business scales its operations following recent regulatory approval from the Civil Aviation Authority and a relocation to a new facility near London Gatwick. Unum manufactures lightweight lie-flat seats designed to help airlines lower operating weight, fuel costs, and carbon emissions.
