The Series A round was led by Creandum with backing from Paladin Capital Group and Plural.
Unitary provides artificial intelligence technology designed to moderate video and visual content online by analysing multiple signals for context. The firm helps digital platforms manage safety requirements and address harmful material.
Unitary has secured £12.4m in Series A funding to expand its operations and develop its video moderation technology. The investment round was led by Creandum, with additional participation from Paladin Capital Group and Plural.
The capital arrives as the company scales its multilingual capabilities and increases its daily video classification volume. Unitary plans to use the proceeds to support research initiatives and forge partnerships with major social platforms.
The funding addresses growing regulatory demands for proactive moderation across the digital sector, as platforms prepare to comply with legislation such as the Online Safety Bill.
