The Series A round was led by Stride VC and will support the company growth in the United States.
Unibuddy operates a peer-to-peer recruitment platform that connects prospective university applicants with current students and staff. The company partners with hundreds of higher education institutions globally to facilitate virtual engagement.
Unibuddy has secured £4m in Series A funding led by Stride VC to accelerate its expansion into the United States and develop new product offerings. The fresh capital will facilitate the recruitment of 15 new staff members for the company office in New York.
The business currently partners with one-third of British universities and over 150 institutions globally. Notable American institutions such as the University of Southern California and Cornell Tech have already adopted the technology.
Additional participants in the investment round include Bart Swanson, Daniel Borel, and Shakil Khan. The funding follows a partnership earlier in the year with UCAS to integrate the peer to peer technology.
