Ultraleap raises £60m in Series D funding from Tencent and British Patient Capital to expand spatial computing technologies.
The financing round was backed by Tencent, British Patient Capital, CMB International, Mayfair Equity Partners, and IP Group.
Ultraleap develops hand tracking and mid-air haptics technology designed to enable natural interaction with digital environments. The firm provides spatial computing solutions for sectors including automotive, extended reality and out of home applications.
Ultraleap has secured £60m in a Series D funding round led by incoming backers including Tencent, British Patient Capital, and CMB International. Existing shareholders Mayfair Equity Partners and IP Group also participated in the financing. The capital will be deployed to scale the firm's interface technologies, advance machine learning capabilities, and accelerate product development for emerging computing platforms.
The raise follows strong commercial momentum driven by increased demand for touchless interfaces during the pandemic. Ultraleap plans to expand its presence across multiple verticals, including automotive in-cabin experiences and out of home self-service solutions, while broadening support for its fifth-generation Gemini hand tracking platform across various operating systems.
