UK government invests £45m into quantum technology projects across health and energy

The UK government has announced a £45m investment into quantum technology projects spanning healthcare, energy, and government applications. Science Minister Andrew Griffith revealed the funding during a visit to University of Nottingham spin-out Cerca Magnetics. The capital comprises £30m from the UKRI Technology Missions Fund and the National Quantum Computing Centre, alongside £15m from the Quantum Catalyst Fund to accelerate public sector adoption. The initiative aims to support quantum innovators and advance the national strategy for a quantum-enabled economy.
