The Series A round was led by Fasanara Capital with backing from various strategic investors.
Twig is a London-based bioengineering startup that uses artificial intelligence and robotics to develop sustainable alternatives to petrochemical-based ingredients.
London based circular economy fintech company Twig has raised £25.7m in a Series A funding round. The investment was led by Fasanara Capital, alongside a group of strategic backers including former and current executives from major luxury and financial institutions. The fresh capital will be deployed to accelerate the delivery of Web 3.0 green payment infrastructure and expand the company suite of financial products into international markets including the US and EU.
Launched in July 2021, Twig has experienced rapid adoption, crossing significant download milestones and gaining traction among younger demographics. The platform combines traditional banking features with instant monetisation of secondhand goods, aiming to reduce landfill waste and promote sustainable consumer habits. The company is also pursuing B Corp certification as part of its environmental mission.
