Tribepad provides applicant tracking and talent acquisition software used by major enterprises to manage recruitment processes. The platform combines candidate screening, video interviewing and onboarding tools into a single system.

Tribepad has secured £12m in growth capital from BGF to scale its operations and develop new product features. The Sheffield-based talent acquisition software provider has grown organically since inception, building a platform used by major employers including Tesco and the BBC.

The funding follows increased demand for recruitment technology amid acute labour shortages. BGF backed the business through its Yorkshire team in a deal led by Rob Johnson and Linda Nguyenova.

Alongside the investment, Andy McRae joins as non-executive chair from the investor network. Meanwhile, co-founders Alexis Twigg and Dan Kirkland are stepping down from their operational roles.

Investor perspective

"Tribepad has built a feature-rich platform that’s helping organisations across the country improve their ability to source and attract talent. The business is well-positioned to capitalise on favourable market tailwinds that are driving ever greater adoption of recruitment technologies as organisations look to succeed in what is an extremely tight labour market. With the support of BGF and Andy McRae as non-executive chair, I’m excited to see what Dean and the team can achieve and I look forward to working closely with the business over the next few years."
