toob secures £75m from Amber Infrastructure to fund initial full fibre network rollout
Amber Infrastructure backed the round to support the deployment of gigabit capable broadband to over 100,000 premises.
toob is a Portsmouth based full fibre broadband provider delivering gigabit speed connectivity to homes and businesses across the UK.
Portsmouth based broadband provider toob has secured £75m in funding from Amber Infrastructure Group through its National Digital Infrastructure Fund. The capital will be deployed to roll out a gigabit capable full fibre network to more than 100,000 premises by the end of 2021, with longer term plans to pass over one million properties across the UK over the next decade.
The company has also strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Charles McGregor as Chairman, bringing extensive industry experience from his time at Gigaclear and Fibernet. To accelerate its deployment, toob intends to utilise existing infrastructure and Openreach duct and pole access products where possible to minimise disruption.
