The Thinking Traveller secures £7m in growth private equity investment from Piper
Piper has acquired a minority stake in the luxury villa brand to support its international expansion.
The Thinking Traveller provides curated luxury villa rentals across the Mediterranean, offering exclusive properties and personal concierge services.
Piper has invested £7m into The Thinking Traveller for a minority stake to support the expansion of its villa portfolio and team. Huw and Rossella Beaugié will continue to lead the company as joint CEOs alongside newly appointed Executive Chairman Ian Simkins.
The funding will facilitate strategic acquisitions and partnerships to enter new Mediterranean destinations. It will also help scale operations and raise brand awareness across key international markets including the UK, Europe, the US and Australia.
This transaction marks the ninth investment from Piper VI, a £123m fund. Ashcombe Advisers acted as financial adviser on the deal.
