Tenby Golf Club secures £1.2m from the Development Bank of Wales and Visit Wales for site redevelopment
The funding comprises a loan and a grant to build new guest accommodation and a restaurant at the historic golf club.
Operating as the birthplace of Welsh golf, Tenby Golf Club provides an 18-hole coastal course and new hospitality facilities.
Tenby Golf Club has secured £1.2m in combined funding from the Development Bank of Wales and Visit Wales to support a major redevelopment of its site. The investment package comprises a £995.4k loan and a £248.9k grant alongside private backing. The capital will fund a new clubhouse, boutique accommodation, and a restaurant headed by chef Duncan Barham.
Established in 1888, the club is recognised as the birthplace of Welsh golf. The project aims to expand its appeal to non-members while creating 23 new jobs in the local area. Construction work has been carried out by WB Griffiths alongside various regional partners.
