British artificial intelligence energy platform tem. has secured £10.5m in a Series A funding round led by Atomico. The financing will support the company as it expands access to renewable power for businesses across the country.
The round drew participation from returning backers AlbionVC and Revent, alongside angel investors Holly Branson, Sam Branson, Harsh Sinha, and Nilan Peiris. Terese Hougaard of Atomico is joining the company board as part of the transaction.
tem. operates a proprietary algorithm that links commercial customers directly to renewable generators, bypassing traditional wholesale energy markets to lower costs and emissions. The fresh capital arrives as the firm scales its operations amid rising demand for sustainable power sources.
