£10.5MSeries A

Tem-Energy operates an energy platform that connects businesses directly with renewable generators using proprietary artificial intelligence. The firm aims to provide traceable and affordable green electricity to organisations across the United Kingdom.

London-based energy platform Tem-Energy has secured £10.5m in a Series A funding round led by Atomico. The capital will support the company as it expands its artificial intelligence network designed to connect commercial energy consumers directly with renewable generators.

The financing also drew participation from existing backers AlbionVC and Revent, alongside angel investors including Holly and Sam Branson, Harsh Sinha, and Nilan Peiris. Atomico partner Terese Hougaard will join the company board as part of the transaction, lifting the total funds raised by Tem-Energy to £13m.

Established in 2021 by former Limejump employees, the company bypasses traditional wholesale energy markets to offer lower electricity costs and complete supply transparency. The fresh injection of capital arrives as the United Kingdom continues to increase its domestic renewable generation capacity.

Investor perspective

"tem. has not only seen impressive growth to date; the future potential is massive with $1trn in direct renewable energy transactions to unlock globally. With their deep energy experience and expertise from Limejump and Shell, nobody is better placed than Joe, Jason, Ross and Bartek to seize this opportunity."
