Telcom Group has secured £63m in growth private equity funding from Gresham House, channelled through its British Strategic Investment Fund. The capital will enable the Manchester-based internet provider to accelerate the rollout of its ultrafast fibre network to commercial and residential properties in northern and midlands urban centres.
Established in 2014, the company operates several brands focusing on connectivity for businesses, residential blocks and social housing. The latest backing is intended to scale its proprietary infrastructure platform and expand digital access.
