Tasty Mates secures £60k from Peter Jones on Dragons Den
Peter Jones backed the gourmet gummy sweet company after an appearance on the BBC television programme.
Tasty Mates is a gourmet confectionery brand offering vegan gummy sweets with distinct flavours inspired by personality traits. The company has secured retail listings in WH Smith and introduced partnerships including a Paddington Bear range.
Gourmet gummy sweet maker Tasty Mates has secured £60k in funding from entrepreneur Peter Jones following an appearance on Dragons Den. The company accepted the investment in exchange for a 15 per cent stake, subject to repayment terms, after initially seeking the same amount for a 4 per cent equity share. The deal follows previous capital raises totalling £500k and retail distribution in WH Smith stores.
