SymTerra secures £1.1m from strategic angels and innovation funding to expand its platform.
The funding round was led by industry figures including Fabienne Viala and will support product development and team expansion.
SymTerra provides a communication and reporting platform designed for construction and infrastructure projects. The software connects field and office teams in real time to streamline reporting and improve project visibility.
London-based infrastructure communication platform SymTerra has secured £1.1m in strategic funding to expand its artificial intelligence capabilities and drive growth. The capital comes from a group of industry angels, including former Bouygues UK executive Fabienne Viala, alongside HERmesa, Enterprise 100, and innovation backing from Innovate UK.
The fresh injection of capital follows a previous pre-seed round that helped the firm reach profitability and scale across more than £10bn worth of construction and utility projects. The company will use the proceeds to make key hires and accelerate the development of its SymAI technology, which converts field communications into structured insights.
From the founder
"The industry thrives on collaboration, yet the way teams communicate is structured for failure. On-site teams have the most amount of knowledge, yet it’s largely untapped. We are solving one of the industry’s biggest productivity problems by making it easy for on-site and office-based teams to communicate and report in real time. This funding allows us to accelerate product development and scale across the sector."

Investor perspective
"SymTerra is addressing one of the most critical challenges facing infrastructure delivery – communication. The platform’s simplicity and understanding of life on site are exactly what the industry needs to drive lasting change. Sarah and her team combine real-world project experience with technology that scales, and I’m delighted to support their next stage of growth."
