Supernotes raises £150k in pre-seed funding from Flamefinch Partners to grow its user community and accelerate development
Flamefinch Partners led the pre-seed round for the social note-taking platform.
Supernotes is a London-based productivity startup that provides a social note-taking and knowledge-sharing platform based on notecards. The platform enables users to link thoughts and collaborate in real time.
Supernotes has secured £150k in a pre-seed funding round led by Flamefinch Partners. The capital will be directed towards expanding the platform user community and accelerating product development.
Established in 2018 by university graduates Tobias Whetton and Connor Neblett, the London-based company offers an alternative to traditional long-form documents through its modular notecard format. Following its public launch in April 2020, the platform has attracted over 10,000 users worldwide.
From the founder
"We could never have imagined the impact that Supernotes would have. From helping students to stay connected with their classmates and achieving first-class remote degrees, to inspiring those staying at home to share their reading lists, workout routines, and recipes with friends and family."

Investor perspective
"Although we've had computers for a long time, digital note taking hasn't progressed much beyond its pen-and-paper counterpart. The problem is that the fundamental format hasn't really changed — notes are taken in long-form documents, burying information in a mass of text in a mess of files. This makes it difficult to find what you need, when you need it."
