Sunlight provides edge infrastructure that helps organisations consolidate and manage applications across remote locations. The platform runs on efficient edge hardware to deliver secure and high performance computing.
Sunlight has closed a £4.5m Series A funding round to expand its commercial footprint, particularly in the US market. The investment was led by OpenOcean, with participation from Robert Bosch Venture Capital.
The Cambridge-based developer provides virtualisation technology aimed at data-intensive applications such as artificial intelligence and analytics. Its lightweight hypervisor architecture seeks to eliminate throughput bottlenecks and reduce infrastructure costs for resource-constrained environments.
The fresh capital will support the company as it scales operations following its initial development phase.
