Stark secures Series A investment from BGF to expand energy data analytics
BGF has backed the energy analytics provider in a multi-million-pound transaction.
Stark is an energy data and analytics provider that handles around 20 percent of the UK electricity supply daily. The firm employs more than 280 staff across four sites in the country.
Stark Software International has secured Series A funding from BGF to scale its operations and advance its sustainability objectives. The capital will support the enhancement of its data and metering services, alongside exploring opportunities in electric vehicle integration and net zero delivery. BGF completed the transaction as part of its ongoing investments in growing British enterprises.
The business manages roughly a fifth of the United Kingdom electricity supply and works with over 30,000 organisations. Alongside the investment, former PwC utilities head Steve Jennings has joined the board of directors.
