Stairpay provides a digital platform that automates and simplifies the shared ownership property journey for residents and housing associations. The London-based startup focuses on streamlining processes such as staircasing and resales.
Stairpay has secured £750k in pre-seed funding in a round led by Fuel Ventures. The financing also attracted backing from Heartfelt Ventures alongside several prominent angel investors, including Rob Hamilton, Luke Appleby, and Paul Kempe.
The company intends to direct the new capital towards product development and expanding its network of housing association partners. Stairpay currently works with organisations such as Clarion and Places for People to automate the staircasing process and facilitate property listings.
The investment follows a successful trial with Clarion, which generated additional staircasing instructions. Stairpay aims to address the widening gap between renters and affordable housing options in the UK property market.
