Spotta builds monitoring systems that combine artificial intelligence and low-power hardware to detect insect pests.
Spotta has secured £3.4m in equity investment, part-funded by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority through The FSE Group. The capital will support the company as it advances its proprietary artificial intelligence and internet of things technology.
The Cambridge-based firm deploys automated monitoring systems across sectors including hospitality and agriculture. Its technology currently protects hotel rooms and assists growers in managing invasive crop pests.
The new funding will accelerate commercial expansion across more than 20 countries in three primary verticals.
