Spotlight Pathology secures £125k from LYVA Labs to advance blood cancer diagnostics
The pre-seed investment from LYVA Labs will accelerate product development and commercialisation.
Spotlight Pathology is a medical technology company developing artificial intelligence tools to assist clinicians in diagnosing blood cancers. Its platform uses proprietary computer vision models to streamline lymph node and bone marrow biopsy workflows.
Spotlight Pathology has secured £125k in pre-seed funding from LYVA Labs. The injection of capital will support the company as it advances product development and commercialisation efforts in the healthcare sector. The raise follows recent leadership additions, with Dr Samantha Perona joining the business as chief executive officer.
Originally spun out from the University of Manchester, the business focuses on addressing global shortages of trained pathologists through automated diagnostic support. The fresh funds will help the firm expand its team and execute its go-to-market strategy.
