The breakfast brand raised £250k via Angel Investment Network alongside the broader financing to scale its manufacturing and retail presence.
Share allotment filed at Companies House
British breakfast brand that produces award-winning granola and operates its own manufacturing facility in Yorkshire.
Spoon Cereals has secured £1.5m in a funding round led by Finance Yorkshire, with an additional £250k raised through Angel Investment Network. The capital will be used to optimise a newly acquired manufacturing facility in Yorkshire, launch upcoming co-branded products with Wildfarmed and Myprotein, and support expanding retail distribution.
Co-founded by Annie Morris and Jonny Shimmin, the brand supplies major supermarkets including Waitrose, Morrisons, and Ocado, alongside international locations. The latest financing follows a period of significant operational development, including the transition to in-house production and key appointments to the board and management team.
Investor perspective
"Spoon Cereals is a brand with genuine consumer love, award-winning products, and a business that has just gone through a real step-change with the shift to owned manufacturing. Our investors recognised the quality of the team, the proven retail traction, and the signed licensing deals with Myprotein and Wildfarmed as a clear path to scale."
