Spirea, a biotechnology company based in Cambridge, has secured £2.4m in funding from a syndicate of investors from the UK and the US.
The capital will be directed towards launching the company pipeline of differentiated antibody-drug conjugate treatments for solid tumours, alongside advancing partnership projects and reviving preclinical assets.
Spirea applies a proprietary approach that increases the drug-to-antibody ratio, delivering higher payloads of medication directly to target cancer cells while limiting side effects.
