spacebands raises £1.1m from Henley Business Angels to scale sales and product development
Henley Business Angels contributed to the £1.1m financing round for the workplace safety wearable maker.
spacebands provides wearable technology for multi-hazard safety monitoring in high-risk workplaces such as construction and manufacturing sites.
spacebands has secured £1.1m in a funding round featuring participation from Henley Business Angels.
The wearable technology company will direct the capital towards expanding its sales and marketing operations, alongside research and development efforts and new recruitment.
The fresh funding arrives as the firm builds on early commercial traction following its official launch in January 2025.
From the founder
"Too many workers only discover the impact of hazards like noise or vibration exposure years after the damage is done. By then, it’s too late. This funding allows us to keep building tools that help employers see risk as it develops, not after the harm has already occurred. Prevention has to happen in real time, on the person, not retrospectively in a report. spacebands was founded on the belief that better data leads to better decisions and safer outcomes. By giving employers visibility of exposure that has historically gone unmeasured, the company aims to reduce avoidable harm, protect workers’ long-term health, and help organisations demonstrate effective control of risk."

Investor perspective
"It’s impressive to see the progress made by spacebands since they initially received investment from HBA in 2022. The technology they’ve built is paving the way for safer work environments, and we’re delighted to be supporting them through their next stage of growth."
