SouthWestSensor secures Series A funding from SKion Water to expand water monitoring technology

SKion Water has backed SouthWestSensor in a Series A round to drive commercialisation of its sensor platform.

SouthWestSensor develops microfluidics based sensor platforms for continuous monitoring of pollutants and nutrients in water. The company aims to bring laboratory quality data to the point of need for improved water and wastewater management.

SouthWestSensor has secured Series A funding from SKion Water to support the development and commercialisation of its wet chemical water sensor platform. The fresh capital will enable the business to expand its measurement capabilities and formats, including new modules for dry installation sensor cabinets.

The investment aims to accelerate the company towards its commercial goals while exploring synergies across SKion Water portfolio companies. SouthWestSensor previously raised funds from seed round investors and completed a short deployment with a partner firm.
