Solus Power designs and manufactures portable charging technology for electric vehicles and off-grid applications. The firm has developed modular lithium ion power units aimed at challenging environments.
Solus Power has secured backing from Marbanc International to commercialise its mobile electric vehicle charging technology. The funding will support the delivery of the company portable chargers to commercial clients, including car parks, car hire operators, and defence organisations seeking flexible energy solutions for electrified fleets.
The investment coincides with Solus Power exploring the development of its charging technology through a memorandum of understanding with QinetiQ Group. The London-based battery innovator has engineered ruggedised power units capable of delivering ultrafast charges in off-grid environments.
Marbanc International is deploying the capital as part of its strategy to invest in growth stage companies. The financing follows growing demand from military and commercial sectors transitioning towards sustainable electrified transport.
