SKOOT secures £1.5m in pre-series A funding to fuel international expansion
The mobility app has raised £1.5m to support its roadmap and overseas expansion plans.

Mobility app SKOOT has secured £1.5m in its latest funding round, bringing its total capital raised since early 2020 to £3.1m. The latest injection follows a £330k backing from Turquoise through the Low Carbon Innovation Fund 2 in January 2021, alongside an earlier £75k award from Innovate UK.
Founded in 2019, the London-based start-up provides a carbon-negative lift-sharing platform that plants trees to offset journey emissions. The company recently launched an Errands feature to support vulnerable individuals and has seen user numbers surge by 125 percent over a 30-day period.
The fresh capital will support the company as it continues developing partnerships with sporting clubs and venues, alongside pursuing international expansion across Europe, North America, Canada, and Australia.
