Skin Analytics raises £4m Series A funding from Hoxton Ventures to expand NHS and international operations
Hoxton Ventures led the Series A round with backing from Nesta and Mustard Seed Ventures.
Skin Analytics is a British healthtech company that develops autonomous AI medical devices for skin cancer detection. Its technology is deployed across multiple NHS sites to triage referrals and alleviate specialist shortages.
Skin Analytics has secured £4m in Series A funding to support its ongoing deployment and partnerships within the National Health Service. Hoxton Ventures led the round, with participation from Nesta and Mustard Seed Ventures.
The capital will also be used to advance the company's expansion into the United States market, following its receipt of a Breakthrough Device Designation from the FDA.
The funding arrives during a period of growth for the firm, which recently launched a remote skin cancer assessment service with University Hospital Birmingham to reduce diagnostic delays.
