Skarper has secured £4m in funding to support its clip-on e-bike technology, marking its second financing round within a twelve-month period.
The investment was led by Hong Kong-based Starry Group and Mobilitech Capital, with participation from various business angels. The latest injection brings the total capital raised by the London enterprise to £8m.
The company has developed a patented DiskDrive system that attaches to a bicycle's rear disc brake, allowing riders to switch between conventional and electric cycling in seconds. Since its initial public unveiling in mid-2022, the technology has attracted significant global interest from consumers and bicycle component manufacturers alike.
