Signal Media has secured £5.8m in a Series A funding round led jointly by MMC and Hearst Ventures, with participation from Frontline Ventures, Reed Elsevier Ventures, and Local Globe. The capital will support the company as it expands into the United States, scales its offering into new market sectors, and develops its core product further.
The London-based business experienced 500% year-on-year growth across 2015 and 2016, expanding its headcount past 50 employees globally. Its platform aggregates information from millions of websites, print feeds, and broadcast channels to serve enterprise clients such as Old Mutual Wealth and Freshfields.
