Shopblocks operates an e-commerce platform that enables small and medium-sized enterprises to build bespoke websites without relying on standard templates.
Shopblocks has secured £1m in a seed follow-on funding round led by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority alongside private investors. The capital will be deployed to support team expansion as the company grows its presence in the UK, US, and Australia.
The Manchester-based firm has experienced rapid revenue growth and increased transaction volumes through its ecommerce platform. Management intends to use the injection of funds to scale operations and establish round-the-clock global support.
From the founder
"A few years ago, as businesses outgrew basic template-driven platforms such as Shopify, Wix and Squarespace, their only option was to have a specialist digital agency create a bespoke solution for their needs which requires a lot of time and a huge budget."
