London based digital twin firm Sensat has secured £16.7m in a Series B funding round. The investment was led by National Grid Partners, with participation from existing investors in the company.
The fresh capital will be directed towards driving digital automation across energy, rail and telecommunications infrastructure projects. Sensat aims to help asset owners reduce costs, eliminate site visits and improve project coordination through its high resolution platform.
National Grid Partners noted that the firm already supports numerous large scale infrastructure projects globally. The backing is expected to aid Sensat in scaling its operations and tailoring its software for utility customers, particularly in the US market.
