Semeris has secured £3.5m in an investment round led by Puma Growth Partners, alongside independent investors. The funding will be used to bolster the sales team and expand operations into new asset classes.
Founded in 2020, the firm deploys a hybrid technology model that pairs large language models with human oversight to process intricate financial legal documents. Its client base includes major asset managers, investment banks, and law firms operating within structured finance.
The capital injection arrives as financial institutions face heightened regulatory and compliance pressures, alongside increasing deal complexity. Semeris plans to leverage the investment to scale its platform and meet growing demand for specialised generative artificial intelligence solutions.
