Secret Spa secures £1.5m from Love Ventures to fund UK and international expansion

The round was led by Love Ventures with participation from angel investors including Sarah Willingham and Stephen Morana.

£1.5M

Secret Spa operates an online platform connecting consumers with mobile beauty and wellness professionals for at-home treatments. The company was founded by siblings Emily Ewart-Perks and Rider Latham.

Secret Spa has secured £1.5m in funding led by Love Ventures, with participation from angel investors including Sarah Willingham and Stephen Morana. The capital will be deployed to support expansion into new UK cities and the company's first international market.

The London-based business experienced rapid growth through the pandemic as remote working patterns shifted consumer demand towards home services. Despite competition and sector closures, management reports that revenue has tripled compared to pre-pandemic levels.

Founded in 2016, the platform currently supports over five hundred freelance practitioners in locations such as London, Manchester, and Brighton. The fresh funds will allow the team to scale its software infrastructure and grow its workforce.

From the founder

"Despite better-funded competition and forced closures, our revenue has tripled since before the pandemic and we have emerged as the market leader in at-home beauty. This round enables us to further invest in the keys to that success: our world-class team, industry-leading software platform, and established playbook for launching in new cities."
