ScrubMarine is a maritime robotics startup based in the UK that develops autonomous systems for vessel hull cleaning and inspection. The company builds robotic solutions designed to reduce fuel consumption, emissions and maintenance costs for shipping operators.

ScrubMarine has secured £740k in pre-seed funding led by PXN Ventures, with participation from strategic backers including Graham Westgarth and Colin Greene. PXN invested via the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II.

The capital will be directed towards completing the company prototype, expanding the engineering team across Whitehaven and Edinburgh, and preparing for initial commercial pilots with fleet operators.
